Larry Perich, D.O, a Medical Advisor at RetinalGeniX, is an expert in pharmacogenetics mapping in retinal and systemic diseases. With 39 years of experience in ophthalmology, he has been instrumental in developing laser refractive centers, ambulatory surgery centers, and managing a large patient care network through Perich Eye Centers. Dr. Perich’s extensive work includes over 75,000 cataract surgeries and notable advancements in corneal transplants, glaucoma, and cosmetic surgeries.

His educational background in Biochemistry and cinema photography from the University of Southern California, along with his medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, showcases his multifaceted expertise. His early exposure to professional photography has been influential in his ophthalmic career. Dr. Perich’s commitment to education is evident in his role as the Program Director for an ophthalmology residency for HCA/USF Bayonet Point, where he has been training residents for over 8 years, shaping the next generation of eye care professionals.
